Plant Purple in 2023!

We are pleased to collaborate with Communities in Bloom to invite you and all of your network and followers to plant PURPLE, the official colour theme for 2023.

Why PURPLE? Purple has a variety of effects on the mind and body, including uplifting spirits, calming the mind, enhanced feelings of spirituality and encouraging imagination and creativity. From lilacs to coneflowers, from coast to coast, let’s paint the country purple!

Meeting October 19, 2022

David’s Garden

David Retallick of David’s Garden in Millbrook gave a fascinating presentation on growing and developing new daylilies at our October 2022 meeting.

David explained the process for creating new types of daylilies, as well as growing and caring for them. It’s a very labour-intensive process! He also brought seeds for sale from some of his current stock of daylilies.
