Welcome back!

Our September Meeting will be on Wednesday Sept. 20,2023 at 7:00 p.m. It will be at St.Patrick’s Parish Hall 179 West St, Napanee, ON K7R 2P6.

Our topic?

How did your garden grow? Also there will be a Tomato tasting of your favourite tomato. Bring a plate to share with others.

On Saturday July 15, 2023 we met at the home of Judy B. and had a wonderful afternoon of talk, food and eye pleasing gardens. A trivia contest was held and the winner Nancy W. won the prized donated by Mary. Thank you Judy for your hospitality. Thank you Brad for your BBQ’ing and thank you all who brought delicious food and attended our Summer Garden Tour.

The Work schedule for the Allan MacPherson House is Wednesday’s at 8:30 a.m. for an hour during the Summer.

Show up, have your gloves, hats, bug spray , sunscreen and your favourite garden tool!

Hello Everyone, Another month has slipped by. This meeting notice and agenda is a little late going out. I’m afraid I’ve been suffering from a major case of Spring Fever. I have been outside gardening. I am going to try something a little different at this month’s meeting. I would like everyone to come prepared to talk, listen and learn about tomatoes. Last September at our “How does your garden Grow?” meeting We had a very short discussion on tomatoes. I would like to have a round table discussion on tomatoes tomorrow. Everyone grows tomatoes and everyone has their own ways of doing things. How and when you start seeds, what varieties–heritage or hybrids, when do you plant them out, determinate or indeterminate, do you train them on a trellis. This should be a great meeting. We can learn from each other. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at 7PM at St Patrick’s Parish Hall. Brad.
